Opening
ceremony of the Olympics 2020 tackles pandemic and drone ballet
steals the show in Tokyo
The
team had to calculate and program the equipment so
that they would not crash into the air
The
most memorable moment of the almost four hours of
the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games
was with the sound of 'Imagine', by John Lennon, a
ballet began a choreography in the air. The
dancers? Drones, on Friday (23/7).
Remotely
controlled by computer, they reproduced a
terrestrial globe. The Earth, again, was blue. The
drawings were created in 3D. Using software, the
team generated the movements in advance,
calculated and programmed the drones so that they
would not collide in midair.
Also
during the ceremony, the word 'pictogram' ended up
in Twitter's trending topics. This, thanks to the
trio who took turns to show the fifty Olympic
disciplines, forming the pictograms, the drawings
of each one of them, in record time.
